Skoda Czech plant suspends production due to parts shortage

Recently, flooding caused the suspension of production at Slovenian gear ring manufacturer KLS Ljubno, which supplies more than 80% of the European automotive market. KLS Ljubno hopes to restart some production in October.

 

Supply chain disruptions caused by floods have had a serious impact on Volkswagen, which forced the company to cut employee working hours at its main plant in Wolfsburg, Germany, and adopt short-time working hours from September 11 to 29. work system. Volkswagen will also cut production at its commercial vehicle plant in Hanover. In addition, individual production shifts will be canceled at its Emden plant.
